Gopichand is before us after a long time in combination with Tapsee with “Saahasam”. Chandra ShekarYeleti and BVSN Prasad are the director and producer of this big budget action entertainer. The film released today all over the world and let us see how it is.

Story:

Gopichand plays the role of Goutham, a guard in a private security agency. He has a goal of becoming very rich as fast as he could and for that purpose makes it a habit of buying lottery tickets. He also consults some Babas for the same purpose but he never could get what he wants. He curses his luck but his life has something else planned for him which he never knew.

He comes to know that his grandfather Varma (Suman) is a rich man who had run a diamond trade in Peshawar before the partition. Somehow, he happens to see a will that says that his property belongs to his successors. To his misfortune, all the property are tied to the legendary Hinglaj Devi temple. Goutham starts to Pakistan armed with the will and artefacts so that he could get his property for which he takes the help of Sreenidhi (Tapsee), an advocate of Hindu religion’s greatness. The path for the property is full of obstacles as some Pakistani terrorists, headed by Sultan (Shakti Kapoor) are after the same property. The stakes are much bigger and the treasure hunt involves as fabulous horde belonging to the Kanishka Temple.
What will happen finally???? Will Goutham succeed in achieving his dream????

Postive Points:

The role of Gopichand perfectly suits him and his body language. He has done a great job. Tapsee has also done a great job as a devout and naïve young woman. Ali plays the role of KhayamatRaju and he entertains with his performance. The role of Sultan is too good for Shakti Kapoor and he excelled in the role. The transformation and performance factors of Shakti Kapoor are very good. Narayana Murthy played the role of Gopichnad’s father and he is ok. The role of Suman is very small but he has given his best in it.

The film has a new script that has never been seen in Telugu Cinema. The director succeeded in giving his best with the film. The film has rich visuals and Ladakh looks really cool captured. The ambience of the Pakistanis has been framed quite well. The film has many interesting concepts like treasure hunt, intricate clues leading to the treasure etc. The people who like the films like National Treasure, Tomb Rider and Indiana Jones will sure love the film. The action in the film is simply awesome and realistic. The film has gun fights and care chases which are perfectly good. The interval bang and the climax have been made very nicely.

Negative Points:

There are some unrealistic scenes in the film. Take an example, a normal security guard enters the place of a dreaded Pakistani terrorist easily. The film has dipping emotions at times. The comedy of Ali should have been taken good care of. The B and C classes may not be satisfied with the film because the film has zero comedy and glamour. Buzkashi episode is not very good as it is expected.

Verdict:

It is a kind of film that has never been in a Telugu cinema. The fresh script, clean and effective execution, cool action sequences are the major assets of the film. The only thing is that the film has zero ‘commercial elements’ which may disappoint the B and C centers. The film is worth a watch and it remembers the feel of “Indiana Jones” once again!!!!
